Rosary Convent High School situated in Gun foundry, the ammunition center of the erstwhile Nizam of Hyderabad is producing dynamite of a different kind. Dynamic girls leave her portals confident of facing the challenges of society. Founded in December 1903 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary Rosary Convent has had many a face-lift in all spheres.
The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary have introduced JPIC - Justice, Peace and integrity of Creation as the basic foundation for the all rounds development of the children. Rosary Convent has been a pioneer in many a programme disseminating this message. The motto of the school 'To Love Through Truth' with Mother Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary has been the pivot around which the school revolved. The relationship at all levels is one of the love, kindness, firmness, justic, sympathy and respect, value so rare but it has been proved by the F.M.M sisters that they can be sown and cultivated and reaped plentifully with the right attitude and guidance.
The N.C.C prepares our girls for the 'A' Certificate and this with the guides and bulbuls make our girls confident and brave. The N.C.C girls attend the regional and National level Camps and bring us much credit. Camps are arranged in the school itself for the Guides and Bulbuls. Ever since the inception at Rosary we have carried away the best cadet award from A.P girls wing at the school level. The Y.C.S (Young Christian Students) and Y.S.M (Young Students Movement) are organized that train students to be humane, caring and generally aware. Camps and seminars expose them to life situations where they can put to use all their innate qualities of service and glean other values hitherto unknown.
The school offers spacious classrooms, computer lab, library, staff rooms, a prayer hall, SUPW room, NCC room, music hall, store rooms, auditorium, stationary room, canteen, outdoor stage, enclosed compound, open compound, three washrooms, six toilet areas, open protected terrace, lift, two-fans and tube lights in each class room, corridors, stairways, inbuilt cupboards in every classroom, office-room, sick room, and limited parking facility.
There are also facilities for volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess, carrom, karate, yoga, gymnastics, cooking, and aerobics.
Established in 1904 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, it is managed by the Missionary Sisters who reside in the convent within the school's grounds.
The school is affiliated with the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Andhra Pradesh and prepares students for the class X SSC examination. Students are also encouraged to participate in UN exams at the national level, national talent search exams, and national Olympiads.
