About School

The Amity International School is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK and International Baccalaureate Organisation, Geneva. It offers education from nursery to class XII with students given a choice of three exam boards.

According to a school spokesperson,hundred of Amity International students have cleared the IIT and medical entrance while several others have secured admission into premier foreign universities including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell (all in the US) and London School of Economics (UK).

Amity International is established by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) founded by Dr. Ashok Chauhan, and is part of the Amity group of educational institutions. The Amity Group comprises five universities, 17 primary-secondary schools and 150 other institutions of education with an aggregate enrollment of 95,000 students and 3,500 faculty spread over 17 campuses in India and seven abroad.

Campus Details

Amity International offers state-of-the-art academic and sports facilities. The preschool section provides Montessori classrooms specially designed to meet the learning needs of children aged 3 to 10 years. The classrooms are equipped with materials for practical life exercises, mathematics and language learning. The digital language lab is a PC-based activity which enables language learning.

The primary and secondary schools classrooms are equipped with Smart boards and are used extensively to enhance lesson. The labs are provided with latest equipment. The chemistry lab is equipped to meet the demands of the CBSE curriculum. The physics lab is also well equipped with all the relevant apparatus. The biotech lab is equipped for practical classes at the senior levels as per CBSE guidelines. The biology lab provides for experiments and projects with a unique collection of charts, models, slides and specimens.
The school boasts two special rooms for art, paper re-cycling, clay modeling, western music, instrumental and vocal music, dance, sports, karate and theatre. The campus also provides a play area for KG students, an open-air theater and a science park.
The Senior Library is well ventilated and spacious with comfortable furniture; has a reference room with internet facilities for reference work and individual study. This library has multimedia computers, educational CDs and subscribes to newspapers, journals, magazines and periodicals. The Junior Library has a seating capacity for 80 students and issues 200-300 books to students daily.
The school playground has special areas for cricket, basketball, skating and other sporting activities

Amity hosts exchange programs with schools in countries such as Denmark, Switzerland, Mauritius, Maldives and Sweden.

Academics Details

Amity offers students the flexibility of choosing the CBSE or international board examinations such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) or the Cambridge IGCSE, at the high school level.

Extracurricular and sports are an important focus area. The school provides all the facilities for development of a positive sports culture. Facilities for cricket, basketball, football, skating, roller hockey, karate, chess, volleyball, table tennis and swimming, are available. Professional coaches provide extra coaching for all major games.
