Kothari International School (KIS), Noida was established in 2005 by the Sharda Mansukhlal Kothari Charitable trust. KIS is a day boarding school catering to students from kindergarten to class XII and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). There are plans to offer Cambridge International Examinations, Us IGCSE and AS/A level exams in secondary and senior secondary school respectively.

As a day boarding school, it provides time for self-study and limitshomework offering the studentsbagless educatio and a variety of extracurricular activities.

The school offers air conditioned classrooms, meals at school, and modern infrastructure for the arts, sports and academics. The campus is spread across 8 acres, and hosts a wide range of facilities including an amphitheatre, swimming pool and greenery.

Campus Details

The school is sited on 8 acres of land with large play areas, air conditioned classrooms and sports fields for specialized coaching.

An amphitheatre in the centre of the campus is used for in-house plays, music and dance workshops and to screen films. The ICT laboratories are fully networked and internet-enabled. The science laboratories are modern and well-equipped.

The KIS library has a large collection of books, journals, videos, DVDs and audio cassettes for children of all ages. The Art & Craft Centre houses a variety of art and music equipment, and has facilities for dance and drama.

The school also has a spacious multi-purpose hall, a swimming pool and a fully-equipped gymnasium.

There is a medical room, with a visiting doctor and a trained nurse. Meals are served at school and the cafeteria menu offers wholesome meals including green vegetables as advised by the school dietician

Admission Details

The admission form should be downloaded from the schoos website, and submitted to the school. On confirmation of registration, a sms and e-mail will be sent Subsequently admission test and interaction details will be intimated to parents.

Academics Details

KIS is affiliated to the CBSE and offers education from kindergarden to class XII.

Pre-schoolers learn in the specially designed Play School block; children participate in a variety of activities according to the Play School Plan.

The curriculum for all classes is designed to encourage students to develop skills of reasoning, problem solving and creative thinking, while learning the essential concepts of each subject Collaborative learning, hands-on learning and research are encouraged.

Special education teachers assess and help students with learning disabilities and behavioural problems.

Extracurricula
Activities such as dance and music, dramatics, public speaking, information technology, creative writing, environment and science are encouraged. Sports include athletics, skating, swimming, tennis, cricket, football, table tennis, yoga, hockey, basketball and volleyball.
